MacroMaker does have some built in functions that automatically automate some functionality, but not many. I do hope to add more in the future. Originally I wrote this to perform repetitive tasks that I was having to do over and over so I did not need those types of functions because I knew the steps necessary to make MacroMaker perform those tasks. Hopefully as MacroMaker evolves it will become of more use to the casual user. Don't get me wrong, it can help a casual user now in many ways, so do not be afraid to give it a try, its free. Now for those of you who already are having to perform repetitive tasks, this program will help you out tremendously. The user can simulate a series of keystrokes, mouse events, play back previous recordings of keystrokes and mouse events or execute some built-in functions with just a keystroke. You can even store textual content from the clipboard in internal MacroMaker variables for later use. In order to use MacroMaker on Windows NT or Windows 2000 you must be using a login ID that has administrative privileges. This makes it impossible for companies to distribute it to their employees unless they give all their employees admin privileges on their machines. It is my belief that companies can afford to pay for software and should. |
